In my photography I work with two notions one is "reality" and the other is the “imagined.” I try to create visual notions of the “real” with an object that can be easily recognized, like a flower, or a tree, or a leaf, or a bug. At the same time I try to recreate visual notions of “the imagined” by fragmenting the “real” objects and placing the “real” object in different perspectives. This allows the idea of the “real” to be in perpetual motion, always moving, always changing, always allowing for multiple perspectives in order for it to be understood. The photographed “real” objects never becomes frozen in time but is instead something I can play with something that is imagined. I call this playground “Motley Space.”
