Eagle’s Nest

 40×30 Mixed Aqueous Media on Arches 300# Paper

Christine Alfery will exhibit her work “Eagle’s Nest” in the South Carolina Watercolor Societies 2019  Annual National Juried Exhibition.  “Eagle’s Nest,”- a 40×30 watermedia on Arches 300# paper has been included in several exhibitions, it will return from the Watercolor Wyoming 34th Annual National Exhibition and then immediately be shipped out again to the South Carolina Watercolor Societies National Exhibition.  Eagle’s Nest was also juried into the NorthStar Watermedia Society National Exhibition. The judges comments from the NorthStar Watermedia Society National Exhibition stated: Alfery’s energetic brushstrokes, subtle colors, and delicate line work metaphorically vibrates the life that exists and is growing in the eagle’s nest.

Juror Mark Mehaffey, international recognized artist chose “Finding Our Way”, “Eagle’s Nest”, and Slinky”  by artist Christine Alfery to be included in the Watercolor Wyoming 34th Annual National Exhibition.  Mark Mehaffey is a signature member the AWS, NWS, TPWS and ISEA.  He has won major awards in juried exhibitions internationally.

“Eagles Nest” has been accepted into the The Emerald Spring Exhibition 2019 National Juried Painting Show.

Juror Noel W. Anderson was accepted “Eagles Nest” into the Michigan Fine Arts Competition, Bloomfield Birmingham Art Center. It is supported by the Michigan Council for the Arts and Cultural Affairs. Noel Anderson is an Assistant Professor at NYU’s Art and Art Professions Department in Print Media. It is an honor for me to have Juror Anderson choose my work “Eagle’s Nest” for this outstanding exhibition. “Eagle’s Nest” is 36×48 acrylic and watercolor on paper. It will be on exhibition at the Bloomfield Birmingham Art Center from June 23 – August 26, 2017.

 “Eagle’s Nest” was juried into the NorthStar Watermedia Society National Exhibition in Lakeville, MN from October 9 – October 30.
