It’s a Great Day to Play
Art for me needs to be filled with mystery and imagination. These two values that I place on art have been with me since childhood. At the age of 6 I knew I wanted to be an artist. How did I know? I could talk in pictures; the pictures were my words and helped me with my words. Pictures also allowed me to imagine and when questions couldn’t be answered allowed me to say “it’s a mystery.”
There is no reason the imaginary and mysteries should disappear when we get older. The both have the ability to communicate over thousands of miles – with multiple cultures and they have always been a source of fascination. It’s about an artists inner connection to their self and their senses and then sharing that inner connection visually with others.
